Learn the basics of reduction printing where the artist uses one block to create a layered landscape or composition of choice. Students will learn how to mix and apply ink, how to create a unique composition, and will carve and print their design using a variety of woodcarving tools and printing presses. Students will leave the course with a foundation in printmaking in general as well as the unique process of reduction printing. Students will make an edition of 6 prints over the 1 day course.
