In this two-day workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of zinc etching, working in a professional printmaking studio environment.
From plate preparation and image creation to final printing, participants will gain hands-on experience with each stage of the etching process.
The workshop emphasizes safe and enjoyable studio practice while introducing essential techniques, equipment use, and practical tips to support the development of each student’s own artwork and knowledge of printmaking.
Your registration fee will cover:
Two 7-hour classes with two experienced printmakers
One beveled zinc plate, pre-filed and ready to use for this workshop
Use of tools
Tracing paper and 3B pencil & artist tape
Four pre-cut 8x10 inches sheets of archival cotton rag paper
price includes $50 lab fee
